Our Athletics Philosophy

List of 1 items.

  • What Sets Athletics at Regis Jesuit Apart?

Just as Regis Jesuit’s educational philosophy is grounded in both the Ignatian concepts of cura personalis—the care for the individual—and striving for the magis—the qualitative more— so follows our approach in athletics. We leverage the power of teamwork and competition as a conduit both to foster leadership and fulfill our mission.

With the support of coaches, parents, guardians and their community, our student-athletes become more fully Men and Women with and for Others in the water, on the mat, on the court, on the green, on the field, on the track, on the ice, on the pitch and ultimately in the world, all for the greater glory of God.

  • Our Five Guiding Principles

Regis Jesuit offers 30 different sports with more than 60 teams the majority of which compete at the highest level of the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA).

Sports Performance Program

Our Sports Performance team helps fulfill the mission of Regis Jesuit by supporting our students and athletes through the development of their mind and body. We train with a purpose: to build better athletes. Our athletes will train according to their sport-specific demands, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and training techniques. Performance training sessions are open to all Regis Jesuit students, even those who are not participating on an athletic team.

Sports Medicine Program

As integral members of each of our athletic teams, our certified athletic trainers provide health care for each of our student-athletes. This service encompasses all facets of the prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries, and an athlete’s subsequent return to his or her chosen sport(s), as well as the management of additional conditions that may influence performance. Each of our athletic trainers who work with our athletes, whether in the athletic training room or during practices and competitions, is nationally certified through the sole certifying organization for athletic trainers: the Board of Certification. Our trainers are also members of the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
