A Passion for the Arts
Courses and co-curricular activities in the visual and performing arts offer students of all skill levels the opportunity to explore and discover their passion for the arts. Fine arts and media technology studies allow students to apply a variety of techniques in real-world product-based experiences.

  • Visual Arts

    Students learn to express themselves through a variety of mediums in fine arts courses. There are opportunities to use traditional materials like paints, pencils and pastels, along with those using computer-based graphic design software. Classes are available for those students who have never taken an art course, as well as those who wish to have their skillset expanded through two different AP Studio Art course offerings. Students can also exhibit their work in the annual Continental League Art Show.

  • Theatre

    Regis Jesuit Theatre allows interested students a stage on which to shine, literally. There are also opportunities for students wanting to learn the technical aspects of stagecraft. There are both courses for aspiring actors and theatre technicians to work on their skills, as well as opportunities through productions staged by the Drama Club each semester. Students can also compete in the Colorado State Thespian Convention and qualify for national competition.

  • Performing Arts

    The Performing Arts Program at Regis Jesuit is designed to offer courses to students of all levels of experience with an interest in vocal or instrumental music. There are introductory classes for budding singers and instrumentalists all the way up to an AP course in music theory and everything in between. Students have the opportunity to showcase what they have learned in performances each semester. Those desiring to do so are also supported in auditioning for the All-State music ensembles and/or participating in the Continental League Music Festival.

  • DRAMA CLUB'S "DRACULA" SELECTED AS THESCON MAINSTAGE PERFORMANCE

    After four showstopping performances of Bram Stoker's Dracula delighting and frightening the RJ community, the Drama Club has been invited to perform this gothic horror classic at this year's Thespian Conference (ThesCon) on Friday, December 13 in Bellco Theatre! As one of the two Mainstage Featured Performances, our thespians will have the opportunity to showcase their talent and skills, performing for approximately 5000 attendees from high schools across the state. This is a huge nod to all the hard work, creativity and talent they put forth with this performance. RJ Theatre was last featured as the ThesCon mainstage show in 2018 with their production of the musical Sister Act.

  • FIVE RAIDERS SELECTED TO CONTINENTAL LEAGUE HONOR BAND AND ORCHESTRA

    Congratulations to Kira Buyan '28, Paula Garcia '27, Samantha Hahn '26, Jenna Kim '25 and Jasmine Munn '25 on being selected to perform in this year's Continental League Honor Band and Orchestra. These Raiders were selected from more than 200 students from 12 local area high schools who auditioned for this prestigious appointment. Each will represent RJHS—Buyan on clarinet, Garcia on flute, Hahn on violin, Kim on piano and Munn on viola—at the Continental League Honor Music Festival on Tuesday, January 21 in Boettcher Hall in Denver.

  • PERFORMING ARTS PROGRAMS PERFORM AT AVE MARIA CATHOLIC SCHOOL

    RJ's Performing Arts programs celebrated their love of music in a special concert performed for the Ave Maria Catholic School community on November 11. Students from Vox Lucis, Canta Belles, Jazz Band and String Orchestra showcased their incredible talent, singing for the elementary-aged students along with Ave Maria's own choir.
