Immersion Experience: Honduras

TEGUCIGALPA: DAY 7

By Luke Taylor ‘25
We set out under the morning rain, and it kept on raining well into the afternoon.
The 5K was a lot of fun with Pedro from the Tegucigalpa scholars winning the Samaritan 5K. The Samaritan 5K is a global race with the goal of raising money for each International Samaritan community across the world. Honduras’s goal was raising money for food and scholarships for the community. With mud in our shoes and our hair dripping wet from the rain, we gathered at the finish line to celebrate together. We celebrated our finishing of the 5K as well as commemorating our last day together in the community. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. If you’d still like to contribute, you can do so through the end of October at https://internationalsamaritan.app.neoncrm.com/np/clients/internationalsamaritan/campaign.jsp?campaign=287&fundraiser=12094&
