Last full day in KC!

Making the most of our last day!
Today we woke up and had an oatmeal bake egg scramble for breakfast. We headed out to Cliff Drive to work with the goats. We learned about invasive species such as honeysuckle and winter creeper and how they affect the environment in Kansas City.  Our job was to pick up the original electric goat fence and move it about a quarter mile down the road so that the goats can graze on a new area of the invasive species. It took a long time because it was on a hillside and we had to move logs to make sure the goats couldn’t jump over and escape. We were encouraged to hustle so that Mrs. Carmellini’s son, Enzo, could watch the goats be released into the pasture. Afterwards we came back and had lunch and some sugary snacks and then went back out to chill with the goats. We got back and did affirmations, played games, took a nap, ate dinner, then did a Eucharistic prayer service to close out our week. See you tomorrow, Denver!
