Immersion Experience: Kansas City

Day 4!

Catherine E., Jack B., Ryland D.
Another day in the community!
We had a nice early wake up and back breaking prayer to start the morning. We had a carrot cake granola yogurt for breakfast with a smoothie. We split into our groups - the LeSunshines went to a land trust house to clean it before it would be sold as affordable housing to members of the community. EUTDIKC group went to Westbrook showers in downtown Kansas City where we split up into picking up trash and sorting donated clothes. We found some interesting trash, including a dead bird, but other than that it was not freezing cold and we helped make the exterior look professional. Inside we sorted clothes and had a fashion show. All the groups came back together to finish the day with black bean burgers for dinner and prayer to end the night. Good night, Colorado! :)
