Immersion Experience: Tijuana

THOUGHTS BEFORE WE GO!

By: All of us!
As we embark on this journey, we reflected on what we'd like to leave, bring, and take back with us. We started out with hoping to leave behind all the noise as well as our preconceived notions, expectations, and immaturity.
Some things we want to bring with us as we leave our school for Tijuana: open minds and hearts, respect, creativity, and adaptability. We want to show all our new friends at the border what Regis Jesuit stands for.  Our goal is to educate others and make a difference through our documentary and interactions with all those we encounter during our immersion. We remind ourselves that we should immerse ourselves totally in their reality in order to better understand their situation. When we return from our immersion, we hope to bring back stories to share and a better understanding of the ongoing problem at the border. We intend to inform others through our work and growth and keep fighting for a better world.
