RESULTS FROM CROSS COUNTRY REGIONALS

Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Cross Country Team members who competed in the Class 5A Regionals on October 24 at deKoevend Park in Centennial. Both teams performed well with the boys team finishing in fifth place and the girls team placing eighth. A special congratulations to Braeden Focht '25 who placed second in the 5000 Meter Run, just one-tenth of a second behind the first-place finisher. Focht also recently celebrated a strong eighth-place finish at the Continental League Championships on October 16.

Caleb Aex '25 and Mason Saum '26 also finished in the Top 20 with 12th and 18th place finishes respectively. The top runner for Girls Varsity Team was Zoe Small '26 who came in 37th place. With their Top 15 finishes, Aex and Focht both individually qualified for the State Championships taking place next Saturday, November 2 at Norris Penrose Event Center in Colorado Springs. The boys team was just 16 points shy from qualifying the full team to compete at State.
