DAVID CARD '87 HONORED WITH SERVICE AWARD

President David Card ’87 has received the 2024 Fr. Tom Prag, SJ Service Award from Escuela de Guadalupe, an independent dual-language, Catholic primary school in west Denver! Card served as Escuela’s first president, from its founding in 1999 until 2016 when he became president of Regis Jesuit.
Recognizing Card’s commitment to Catholic education in Denver by setting Escuela on a successful path, the award was bestowed during the school’s annual gala, Salud! in front of a gym packed with supporters celebrating its 25th anniversary and ensuring its longevity. Currently, 25 Escuela alums are enrolled at RJ and many others have graduated—a full circle moment for both our communities in assuring these students receive the Catholic, Jesuit education they seek and deserve.
