RJ'S ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB CELEBRATES EARTH WEEK

In celebration of Earth Week and alignment with the Jesuits' Universal Apostolic Preference to Care for our Common Home, the RJ Environmental Club hosted a clothing swap, shared songs and prayers daily about the care of the Earth as well as shared information and resources about water and food waste, fast fashion, recycling and composting in the Daily Announcements and on the classroom display screens throughout the week. The actions and efforts of the club this week helped educate the community on the fragility of our ecosystem and reminded us to do our part to help care for our common home.
As one of the four Universal Apostolic Preferences developed by the Jesuits and worldwide mission partners and approved by Pope Francis, the Caring for Our Common Home tenet calls us to protect and renew all of God's creation.

As a fitting end to our annual Earth Week activities, the Environmental Club moderator Ms. Timme, and 25 club members coordinated a cleanup effort around the Regis Jesuit campus on the morning of April 25. With gloves and bags in hand, the group picked up an incredible 27 pounds of trash along Lewiston Way.

Way to go, Raiders! We appreciate you doing your part to care for our common home and serve as Men and Women with and for Others.
