Ms. Emily S. Ballinger
Emily Stevinson Ballinger is a proud Colorado native who grew up in Arvada, where she attended Shrine of St. Anne’s grade school. She received ber undergraduate degree in economics and business from Regis University. She has had a successful career of more than 20 years in the auto industry. Her son, Tyler, is a Regis Jesuit graduate from the class of 2016. Emily was an active volunteer at Tyler’s Catholic grade school, serving on the School Advisory Council and as co-chair twice of the yearly dinner auction. She has served generously at Regis Jesuit—in the kitchen, as a member of the Advancement Committee, and as the parent coordinator for the first LARK Autumn Raffle. She is past president of Parent Community Association. When she isn’t doing something for the school she is active in her community and loves to spend time with her family and friends. Emily joined the Board of Trustees in 2014 and currently is serving as chair of the Education and Student Life Committee. 

 

Mr. Don A. Bechter '80
Don Bechter joined the Board of Trustees in 2013 and currently serves on the Investment Committee. He is the chief executive officer of RMB West LLC, a wealth and asset management firm. He has a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Colorado and a MBA in finance and marketing from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. As an alumnus of the class of 1980, Don is the middle of three generations of Bechters to attend Regis Jesuit. His late father, Jerome ’46, was a Raider back in the boarding school days, and two of Don’s three children with wife, Cara, are proud Raiders – Benjamin’15 and Riley ’17. Their elder daughter, Callan, graduated from St. Mary’s Academy. In addition to being a Trustee for Regis Jesuit, Don also serves on the boards of the Alzheimer’s Association of Colorado, the Metro Denver Executive Club and the University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business.

 

Mr. James P. Campbell ’84 
Jim Campbell is a partner at the law firm of Campbell Killin Brittan & Ray, LLC. He served previously as the Arizona state president for Qwest Communications and CenturyLink’s regional vice president of Regulatory and Legislative Affairs for the Midwestern United States. 
Jim received his undergraduate degree in 1988 from the University of Santa Clara, and his JD in 1991 from the University of Denver. He is an active member of the Denver community serving with multiple non-profit organizations including the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and Arrupe Jesuit High School. He is the son of Richard “Dick” ’54 and Dorothy Campbell, for whom the school’s campus is named. He and his wife Deb are the proud parents of Raider grads Meghan ’13 and Claire ’13. Jim joined the Board of Trustees in summer 2016.

 

Mrs. Susan B. Clark
Susan Clark received her undergraduate degree in marketing from Providence College in Rhode Island and worked for many years as a project manager in the telecommunications and software industries. She has been active as a volunteer for Regis Jesuit. She and husband, Bob, have three sons, Brian ’10, Michael ’11 and Sam ’14. She has helped with parent giving through PACE, worked in the boys cafeteria, served as team parent for basketball and was a part of the FOUNDATIONS FOR EXCELLENCE Campaign. She has been a member of the Advancement Committee since 2012 and joined the Board of Trustees in 2013. Susan is also an active volunteer for the Adoption Exchange, Families First, the Denver Rescue Mission, Boys Hope Girls Hope and in her parish, the Church of the Risen Christ.



David A. Card '87Mr. David A. Card ’87
David Card returned to his alma mater as the President of Regis Jesuit High School in August 2016. He had previously worked at the school as Director of Development from 1999 to 2003. Prior to his return to RJHS, David served as president of Escuela de Guadalupe, a dual language Catholic grade school in northwest Denver from 2003 to 2016. David became a Trustee in June 2015 and continues to serve as an ex-officio member. He holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Colorado at Denver and an undergraduate degree in political science from Regis University. He and his wife Janalee are the parents of three daughters: Delaney ’20, Alexandra '21 and Mae. David is also the son of alum and long-time Regis Jesuit teacher and track coach, Rod Card ’61.

 

Mr. Michael J. Duncan
Mike Duncan joined the Board of Trustees in June 2015. He earned a degree in finance from the University of Notre Dame. He is the owner and manager of Diamond Tail Ranch, a 20,000+-acre bison ranch in the mountains of northern Colorado. He is also a partner in Silver Oak Cellars and Twomey Cellars, providers of premium California wines. He spent the early part of his career as a landman in the petroleum industry. Mike previously served as a member and chair of the St. Mary’s Academy Board and has also served on the boards of the Denver Art Museum and Teton Valley Ranch Camp in Jackson Hole, WY. He also was commissioner of baseball for Cherry Creek Youth Sports and Arapahoe Youth League for seven years. Mike and his wife Renee are parents of Jackson, who graduated from Mullen in 2015, and Jeremy, a proud Raider from the class of 2016.

 

Rev. Kevin Dyer, SJ
Fr. Kevin Dyer, SJ has been a member of the Society of Jesus since 1999. Before entering, he received his undergraduate degree in philosophy from Saint Louis University. As a Jesuit, he received a master's in philosophy from Saint Louis University and master's degree in divinity from Boston College. He spent a total of six and a half years working at Regis Jesuit, three years (2004-07) teaching theology at the Girls Division and three and a half years (2011-14) as chaplain and theology teacher at the Boys Division. From 2009 until 2014, he was a member of the Board of Trustees for Tampa Jesuit. Currently, Fr. Dyer serves as chaplain and theology teacher at Jesuit High School in New Orleans. He joined Regis Jesuit’s Board of Trustees in June 2016 and serves on the Ignatian Identity Committee. 

 

Mrs. Kim A. Dyer
Kim Dyer joined the Board of Trustees in June 2016 and serves on the Education and Student Life Committee. She holds a master’s degree in school counseling from Georgia State University and undergraduate degree in psychology from St. Lawrence University. Kim has dedicated her life to working as an advocate for children, especially those on the margins, and currently works as a school counselor in Aurora Public Schools. Kim has been an active volunteer with Regis Jesuit since 2007, serving as a member of the first Safety and Security Committee and Communications Council. She also was the first chair of the School Advisory Board. Kim and her husband, Dan, are the proud parents of three Raider alums: Drew ’11, Wendy ’14 and Gage ’16. 

 

Mr. Lawrence P. Finch ’74
An alumnus of the class of 1974, Larry Finch joined the Board of Trustees in 2014. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Colorado State University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a managing principal and personal wealth manager of the G5 Financial Group, a wealth management firm with offices in Denver, Fort Collins, Colorado Springs and Kansas City. Larry and his wife Lori are Denver natives and have four children: Tony ’10, Alyssa ’11, Anna ’13 and Christina. Larry served as treasurer for the Boys Division Parent Club and chairs the Audit and Finance Committee. He is also involved with other civic and charitable organizations including the Boy Scouts of America, Children’s Diabetes Foundation and the audit committee of the Catholic Foundation of Northern Colorado.

 

Rev. John P. Fitzgibbons, SJ
Fr. Fitzgibbons became the 24th president of Regis University on June 1, 2012 and joined the Regis Jesuit Board of Trustees at the same time. A native of Omaha, Neb., he joined the Jesuits in 1973 and was ordained a priest in 1985. He holds a Ph.D. in English as well as master’s degrees in English, divinity and theology. Fr. Fitz brings a variety of experiences with Jesuit apostolates to his work with the RJHS Board. Prior to his position at Regis U, he served as associate provost for faculty development at Marquette University. Previously he taught at Creighton University and the University of San Francisco (USF), and served as novice director of the joint Missouri-Wisconsin Province novitiate in St. Paul. He has also served on the boards of USF, Gonzaga University and Nativity Jesuit Middle School in Milwaukee.

 

Mr. G. Todd Gervasini
Todd Gervasini is managing partner of Wakefield Asset Management, which he founded in 2003, and is also director and co-founder of Centennial Bank. He holds an undergraduate degree in political science from Boston College, but has spent the majority of his career working in the financial services industry. Todd is also actively involved in the community, serving as a director for the Evans Scholars Foundation of the Western Golf Association and on the executive board of the Denver-area Boy Scout Council. He and his wife, Shannon, are the proud parents of four Raiders: Nick ’15, Isabella ’16, Tony ’18 and Tessa ’20. Todd joined the Regis Jesuit Board in June 2016.

 

Rev. James Goeke, SJ
Joining the Board of Trustees in June 2017, Fr. Jim Goeke is the Superior of the school’s Jesuit Community. He is a 1976 alumnus of St. Louis University High School. Fr. Goeke joined the Jesuits in 1977 and was ordained in 1988. He holds a master’s degree in philosophy along with high school teaching certification in mathematics from Saint Louis University. He also has a master of divinity from the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley and master of education in religious education from Boston College’s Institute of Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry. Throughout his career, Fr. Goeke has served at St. Louis High School, St. Francis Xavier Parish in Kansas City and Saint Louis University Hospital. He became a Board-certified hospital chaplain while serving at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Prior to coming to Regis Jesuit, Fr. Goeke was serving at assistant director of novices for the Jesuit Novitiate in Grand Coteau, LA. 

 

Mrs. Ellen L. Kiniry
Originally from Florida, Ellen Kiniry spent ten years as an aide to several U.S. Representatives from the Sunshine State before moving with her husband, Mark, to Colorado in 1996. They have three Regis Jesuit graduates – Claire ’08, Luke ’10 and Erin ’12 – and Ellen has been an active RJ volunteer since they joined the school community. She has been instrumental in the success of LARK, serving with Mark as event chairs three times, including most recently for the 40th anniversary event. She has also helped with The Fall Classic, as well as assuming leadership roles for both Moms Clubs and serving as team parent coordinator for boys and girls tennis and girls basketball. Ellen joined the Board of Trustees in June 2012 and is chair of the Marketing & Communications Committee.

 

Mr. William R. Leer
Bill Leer joined the Board of Trustees in June 2015. He and his wife Brooke are parents to alums John ’05 and Molly ’07. Additionally, Bill has been a member of the RJ football coaching staff since 2002. He has a degree in business administration from Colorado State University and spent his career working in the petroleum industry. He worked as a landman for nearly a decade, and has been president of Rocky Mountain Exploration, Inc. since 1990. Bill is also a trustee with The Catholic Foundation of Northern Colorado.

 

Mr. Conor S. McCallin ’98
The son of Dan ’67 and Eileen McCallin, Conor became the third member of the McCallin family to serve on the Regis Jesuit Board when he joined as a Trustee in June 2015. He has served on the school’s Investment Committee since 2010 and helps to teach financial literacy to students at Regis Jesuit. He is also on the Education and Student Life Committee. Conor holds an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University as well as a bachelor’s degree in aeronautics from Saint Louis University. Conor is a vice president with Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management and has spent the last few years of his career working in the finance industry. Prior to that, he was a pilot and flight instructor. Conor also serves on the boards of Boys Hope Girls Hope and Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum. 

 

Mr. Michael McDonald
Michael McDonald was born and raised in Littleton, Colo. and graduated from Mullen High School in 1985. He earned a degree in business from the University of Oklahoma. Following graduation, Michael returned to Colorado to begin his career with the automotive company his grandfather started nearly 70 years ago. Three generations of McDonalds have operated the McDonald Automotive Group from their Littleton location for more than 50 years, where Michael now serves as president. In 1991 he partnered with his brother, David, to create Escalante Golf. His extensive community service includes the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Children’s Diabetes Foundation and the Denver Rescue Mission. Michael and his wife, Jane, have been married 20 years and have three children, all Raiders: Whitney ’14, Davis ’16 and Julia ’19. Michael joined the Board of Trustees in 2014 and serves on the Planning and Major Projects Committee.

 

Rev. Timothy M. McMahon, SJ
Fr. McMahon has served as the president of Arrupe Jesuit High School since 2010. Previous to that he was the provincial of the Missouri Province of the Society of Jesus. A graduate of St. Louis University High School, Fr. McMahon has a bachelor of arts in philosophy and letters from Saint Louis University. He also holds master’s degrees in biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago, divinity from Weston School of Theology in Cambridge, Mass. and theology from the Universidad Centro Americana Jose Simeón Canas in San Salvador, El Salvador. Fr. McMahon’s apostolic appointments have taken him throughout the Missouri (now the U.S. Central and Southern) Province where he has served in various capacities as teacher, pastor, professor and rector. He joined the Board of Trustees in 2013. 

 

Mr. Eugene 'Tony' Naes '80 - Chair
An alumnus of the class of 1980, Tony Naes joined the Board of Trustees in 2013 and was elected chair in June 2015. He chaired the Board’s strategic planning process, which was officially adopted by the Trustees in June 2015. He is the senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer for Adelphia Communications and has previously worked in leadership positions for various companies in finance, accounting and general management. Tony is a certified public accountant with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He also has a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Regis University. He and his wife, Lori, have five children: Anthony ’06, Annemarie ’09, Luke ’11, Christian ’13 and Daniel ’16. Tony is also an officer and director with the Art Students League of Denver.

 

Rev. Thomas M. Rochford, SJ '64
Fr. Thomas Rochford, SJ joined the Society of Jesus immediately after graduating from Regis Jesuit High School in 1964. He received a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Saint Louis University and a master’s in theology from the Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley. Fr. Tom was ordained a priest in 1976 and returned to his high school alma mater where he taught English for four years before going to New York City for a master’s degree in graphic design. He has worked for the both the Missouri Province and the national organization of Jesuits in the United States, as well as the international headquarters in Rome overseeing publications, websites, videos and serving as assistant to Jesuit leaders in the area of communications. Fr. Tom is a photographer and oil painter, who again returned to Regis Jesuit in 2015 and was appointed to the Board of Trustees, for which he chairs the Ignatian Identity Committee and sits on the Marketing & Communications Committee. He serves as chaplain for the school and teaches art.

 

Dr. Kristin Ross Cully
Kristin Ross Cully holds a doctorate of education in educational and organizational leadership from the University of Pennsylvania. Her dissertation, Smart Like a Boy: The Experiences of Women Working in an All-Boys’ Jesuit School, earned her the degree with distinction. She also has a master of education in psychological counseling and master of arts in organizational psychology, both from Columbia University’s Teachers College. Her bachelor degree is in psychology and education from James Madison University. Kristin served as principal at Loyola High School in New York City from 2014 to 2017 and assistant principal at Regis High School, also in NYC, prior to that. She relocated to Denver with her husband, Pete Cully, in 2017 when she also began working as Director of Research Development and Global Initiatives for the Jesuit Schools Network. Kristin joined the Board of Trustees in June 2017.

 

Mr. John M. Schmidt
John Schmidt has a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Northern Colorado, where he has served as a trustee for their foundation board and as a member of the Dean’s Leader Counsel for the Monfort College of Business. He has had a successful career in the banking and finance industries, including helping to found Castle Pines Capital LLC, which was purchased by Wells Fargo in 2011. He currently is managing partner of Jam Capital LLC. John and his wife, Angela, are the parents of two Raider sons: John ’14 and Michael ’18. He joined the Board of Trustees in 2014 and serves on the Planning and Major Projects Committee. 

 

Mr. Kenneth Stable ’05 
Kenny Stable joined the Board of Trustees in June 2016 and is a member of the Education and Student Life Committee. He has an undergraduate degree in business administration from Creighton University and will complete his master’s degree in investment management and financial analysis from Creighton this fall. Kenny currently works for Charles Schwab in client services. He is also involved in the community, serving as a board member for Boys Hope Girls Hope, and having served previously as a board member for Higher Ground Youth Challenge in Denver. 

 

Mr. Philip F. Vottiero
Phil Vottiero is senior vice president of finance for Oppenheimer Funds, Inc. in Centennial. He joined the Board in June 2012. He chairs the Investment Committee and was also a member of the Campaign Executive Committee for the FOUNDATIONS FOR EXCELLENCE Campaign. He has also served as a finance council member for Our Lady of Loreto Church. Phil hails from the Bronx and holds degrees in accounting and computer information systems from Manhattan College. He and his wife, Sherrie, have three Regis Jesuit graduates: P.J. ’09, Kaitlyn ’12 and Ryan '16.
