WINTER SPORTS RECAPS

Read below to learn how our Raider sports teams performed this winter. More details, including post-season honors and awards, can be found on our website on the individual team pages. Great job, Raiders! 
  • Boys Basketball—Finished the season with a 19-7 overall record and advanced to the Class 6A Great 8 round of the State Playoffs in March where they lost in double overtime. 
  • Girls Basketball— Earned an 18-7 overall record and advanced to the Sweet 16 round of the Class 6A State in March for the seventh consecutive season. Head Coach Jordan Kasemodel was selected as the 6A Continental League Coach of the Year!  
  • Cheer—Placed ninth out of 22 teams in the 5A All-Girl Cheer Division at the CHSAA State Spirit Championships in December and advanced to the semifinal round in the Small Performance category for the first time in program history at the 2025 UCA National High School Cheerleading Championships in February.
  • Ice Hockey—Ended the season with an 11-7-2 overall record and advanced to the 5A State Quarterfinals, the Frozen Four.
  • Poms—Took third place at the Continental League Dance Championships in November and placed sixth out of 19 teams in the 5A Pom Division at the CHSAA 2024 State Spirit Championships in December. The team advanced to the semifinals in the Pom category at the Universal Dance Association (UDA) National Dance Team Championships in January/February.   
  • Girls Swim & DiveINDIVIDUAL & TEAM STATE RUNNERS-UP! Went undefeated in all dual meets and sent 17 swimmers to the Class 5A State Championship Meet in February where they finished as State Runners-Up for the third consecutive year. Ava Terella '27 claimed the runner-up spot in the 100 Backstroke, while Lexi Stramel '26, Natalie Daum '27 and the 200-Yard Medley Relay team earned third-place finishes. 
  • Boys Wrestling—Placed fifth at the Continental League Championships in January with Richard Avila ‘26 finishing second in his weight class. Avila earned a fourth-place finish at the Class 5A Wrestling Regional Tournament which earned him a bid to the Class 5A State Tournament, both in February. 
  • Girls WrestlingSTATE CHAMPION! Finished ninth at the Class 5A Girls Regional Tournament in February, led by Remington Zimmerer '27 who won the Regional Championship in her weight class. Four wrestlers competed at the Class 5A State Tournament—the largest delegation to compete at State since the program's inception—where Zimmerer garnered a historic win in the 120-pound weight class, the first-ever State title for the program.
