SAN PEDRO SULA: DAY 6

Eli Arellano '25
We finished building some benches for the soccer field today and cleaned up the field. We also met up with the Tegucigalpa group and played a game of soccer.
This morning, we went straight to the soccer field and helped work on the benches project that we started earlier this week. We also got to play with the children and talk to them all morning long. We played many different games and talked to all the people from the comunity to help build the benches and watch the soccer game. The Tegucigalpa group got to the Ocotillo sector around lunch time, and we had time to eat and catch up with them. We then went back to the field to finish up the benches and had a lot of fun talking with the other group while gathering the supplies for the cement and then mixing it. We then got to play in a friendly soccer match between the San Pedro Sula scholars and volunteers and the Tegucigalpa scholars and volunteers. It was a really fun time where we could really grow our connections with the community whether we were on the field or on the sidelines.
