CATHOLIC SOCIAL TEACHING AT JERUSALEM FARMS

by MaKenna Shively '25, Alexandra Miller '25
Today we did our first chores and learned the values of Catholic Social Teaching.
In the morning, we started with a prayer. After, we started chores. We worked in the community garden, harvesting the sweet potatoes that grew all summer. We actually really liked it despite the heat and back pain we experienced. Later, we went on a three-hour nature walk exploring the neighborhood and the values of CST. Afterwards, we had dinner and dissected the day. We experienced the community we'll be serving and got to learn about our home for the next week. We're excited for the rest of the week!
