OUR LADY OF THE WAY CHAPEL

Prominently positioned at the front and center of the Science & Innovation Center, the new Our Lady of the Way Chapel is another sacred space on campus that embodies our strong Catholic, Jesuit identity. Smaller in design than our other two chapels—the Blessed Rupert Mayer Chapel in the GD and the St. John Francis Regis Chapel in the BD—this Adoration chapel showcases a 1-1/2 story ceiling with full-height windows for extraordinary views of the mountains, providing a beautiful setting for small prayer groups and Masses. Coming this spring, the chapel will feature two stained glass art pieces, one of which will represent the Society of Jesus and the other will portray the image of Our Lady of the Way. The latter honors St. Ignatius' special devotion to Mary and the church given to him by Pope Paul III in 1540 upon his founding of the Society of Jesus, the Madonna or Santa Maria Della Strada (St. Mary of the Way).
