FOOTBALL STUNS VALOR CHRISTIAN IN SEASON-OPENING OVERTIME WIN

With an exciting game-winning touchdown in overtime by tight end Grayson McPherson '25, the No. 4 ranked Varsity Football Team edged out rivals No. 2 Valor Christian 23-17 in their Class 5A season opener last Friday, August 26.
Led by quarterback Exander Carroll '23, the Raiders prevailed in a hard-fought back-and-forth battle, taking advantage of several missed opportunities by the Eagles. 9NEWS Sports' Scotty Gange celebrated with the team and crowned Carroll the 'King of the Night" following their win. Following their week one win, the team jumped two spots in the CHSAA Class 5A standings to No. 2 heading into their next contest against Arapahoe High School on Friday, September 9. Keep it up, Raiders!
