Once again, the LARK Raffle was held in this fall. On Tuesday, September 13, students received a red envelope containing ten tickets to sell to support Regis Jesuit, specifically Regis Jesuit’s Blessed Rupert Mayer Chapel renovations. Each ticket was $25, and the drawing was held at halftime during the Homecoming Football Game on Friday, October 14. The Grand Prize was a black 2016 JW Jetta; second prize $5000 cash and third prize $1000 cash. Thank you to everyone who participated! Stay tuned for more information about the LARK Autumn Raffle in 2017.
For decades, LARK has been THE benefit dinner auction to attend in the spring. Each year of its now 44-year history brings a new theme around which the event unfolds. Raiders of the Lost LARK, Viva LARK Vegas and the 42nd Running of LARK: A Kentucky Derby Experience are just a few of the more memorable ones. The 2016 event, held on April 30, saw nearly 800 people as the Denver Mart hosted Central LARK: An Evening in the Park. Past chairs and former RJ Presidents, Frs. Ralph Houlihan, SJ, Wally Sidney, SJ and Phil Steele, SJ '66 joined Interim President Rick Sullivan and current President David Card '87 at the most successful LARK to date. Be sure to save the date for antLARKtica on April 29 at the Denver Mart!
The Fall Classic
In it's 12th year, The Fall Classic golf tournament moved to a new venue, the scenic Colorado Golf Club, but the same fun and festivities on the course and clubhouse that marked this event for more than a decade came along for the ride. To date, The Fall Classic has raised more than $2.3 million in support of students in need, allowing them to enjoy the Raider experience! Stay tuned for more details about the Fall Classic in 2017.
